Heiress · Stubborn · Spark

Cheeky, loud, more stubborn than any headwind — and within her burns a justice that forgets no one.

Sister duty, no resignation accepted

Smiles rarely, aims precisely — survives every storm of compliments with expressionless elegance.

Feya is a red fox by birth, a shadowblade by choice. Trained in the silent arts of the Jianghu, she moves as if the wind had personally asked her permission this morning.
By day: the exasperated big sister who informs Kira, unprompted, how to stand, breathe, and live. By night: that quiet second between two heartbeats when a problem suddenly decides it is no longer a problem.
Being beautiful was never a choice but a workplace hazard — compliments bounce off her like shuriken off a bamboo helmet.

Closed off, distrustful, and absolutely not the desk that takes compliments — kind words she returns politely, like wrongly delivered mail. Want to get close to Feya? Bring tea, not sentences. Kira brings noise. Somehow it still works.

戒Monk apprentice · Brave coward · Table for one

Speaks softly, acts decisively — and laughs so rarely that anyone would write it down.

Jade is a rabbit, an orphan and a monk — three words that already amount to a whole biography. Master Haku took him in as a newborn, before his eyes had even opened to the world; the temple walls have been the only home he knows. He has never eaten from golden plates like Kira; a bowl of lukewarm soup is enough, taken alone — because anyone left behind by both parents learns early to keep their account with solitude. There is a hare's heart inside him.
Naturally, he is a rabbit. But it is the rare kind: it trembles, breathes in, breathes out, and then goes anyway. When a market vendor kicks a beggar, Jade is suddenly between them — small, steady, with courage three sizes larger than his stature. He wears tradition like a second skin; discipline is his home, daily training his most reliable friend.
Whether he can also laugh? No one has ever caught him at it. Perhaps because no one has yet asked him properly. Kira and Feya, at any rate, intend to keep chipping at that wall of silence — question by question, smile by smile.

Prefers eating in the pagoda's shade to sitting at a table. Speaks rarely of himself, never of what is missing. Would throw himself in front of a blade for anyone weaker — and politely apologise for the noise.

慈Cook · Mother's heart · Ladle diplomat

Kira doesn't need a crown — she needs someone who says 'eat'.

Minya is a goose, a restaurateur, and probably the only reason the household ever sits down for dinner on time. Wielding a wooden ladle that doubles as evidence kit, persuasion device, and final court of appeal, she runs the kitchen of the village restaurant — and, by accident, half of the village.
Tigers are supposed to eat geese. The first meeting between Kira and Minya produced an Incident no one talks about anymore — least of all Kira, who has shown up punctually for dinner ever since.
Today Minya would never harm a single stripe on the tigress; she has quietly taken on the role of the mother Kira lost in the storm of her bloodline. Sheltered, fed, gently corrected — and protected with a fierceness the entire village holds its breath for.
Her place is called *The Wild Goose* — a sign no one but Minya herself could hang up without it ending badly. Good food brings people together, she says, even when table manners have to wait their turn.

Small, feathered, dangerously well organized. Anyone late to Minya's kitchen learns humility. Anyone who calls her 'mother' gets a second plate — and a very long, appraising look.

師Sensei · Brush & blade

Speaks rarely — and when he does, every word fits.

Master Haku is the last teacher of a school whose name only survives on old scrolls. By day he tutors the village children in script, breath and posture; by night he sharpens blades no one dares to wield anymore.
To Kira he is a riddle with a beard — politely distant, uncompromisingly precise, and the first adult who neither patronises her nor fears her.
Where others tried to drill etiquette into her, Haku teaches her to set a single ink stroke so the world goes quiet for one breath.
He prefers to speak in riddles. “You do not defeat a shadow with the blade,” he sometimes says. “Only with light.” Sentences like that quietly lodge themselves in a child's mind and only resolve once the child has lived through what Haku once said. Until that day arrives, what he has mostly placed in Kira's head are question marks, neatly arranged like brush-strokes on a scroll. Yet in the moments that matter, he is there — even if, on quieter days, he looks as though the next generation were drawing the last drop of ink out of his hand.

Brush in one hand, blade in the other — and a gaze that notices what you tried to hide. Address him casually and you get a cup of tea. Underestimate him and you get a lesson.
